Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in a baker preparation position
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Good work ethic, communication, and time management skills
- Post-secondary culinary program highly preferred
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including overnights, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending, and squatting
Responsibilities
- Prepares and bakes artisanal breads, focaccia, and pizzas during overnight production to ensure readiness for daily service
- Mixes, ferments, proofs, and bakes doughs according to established recipes and production schedules
- Assists with pizza preparation and dough mixing as needed
- Maintains a clean and sanitary production area in compliance with Department of Health standards
- Works towards mastering all stages of overnight bakery and pizza production
- Collaborates closely with the team to ensure consistency, efficiency, and product quality across shifts
- Assists Sales Associates when needed and engages with guests interested in learning about bread and pizza production
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
