Position Overview

Dane Street is seeking physicians to join our expanding panel. This is a telework opportunity offering supplemental income. As a Physician Reviewer/Advisor, you will leverage your clinical expertise to review medical records and provide independent, professional opinions on a claimant's functionality and restrictions/limitations related to disability benefits. Determinations are based on the clinical evidence within the provided medical records.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Accept cases and review all provided medical records on a contract basis according to your schedule.
• Address each question posed, utilizing client-specific or nationally recognized evidence-based criteria, and opine on disability status.
• Ensure a clear, concise rationale for each determination, supported by adequate documentation.
• Identify and employ current criteria and resources, such as national, state, and professional association guidelines, and peer-reviewed literature for sound and objective decision-making.
• Refrain from using case studies or cohorts to make decisions.
• Provide a report and copies of any criteria utilized within the review promptly.
• Return cases on or before the specified due date and time.
• Complete peer-to-peer calls/call attempts as required by client-specific protocols for clarification or additional information.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including providing addenda (with additional compensation), addressing quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory matters.

• Board certification required.
• Active practice required.
