Physician Advisor - Disability Peer Review (Medical Toxicology)

Position Overview

Dane Street is seeking Board Certified Physicians in Medical Toxicology to join our expanding physician panel. This is a remote, independent contract (1099) opportunity offering supplemental income. You will provide expert medical reviews on a caseload customized to your schedule, focusing on the medical necessity of treatments and claims related to toxicity and adverse effects of substances.

Requirements

• Board Certification: Medical Toxicology
• Licensure: Active medical license
• Expertise: Utilize expertise in medical toxicology to review cases.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to client-specific policies and nationally recognized standards of care.
• Resource Utilization: Identify and use current clinical guidelines, evidence-based resources, and peer-reviewed literature for objective decision-making.
• Communication: Provide timely, clear, and concise reports supported by adequate documentation.
• Timeliness: Return cases by the specified due date and time.
• Follow-up: Perform follow-up calls as needed.
• Professional Development: Maintain proper licensure and certification; participate in required orientations and training.
• Quality Assurance: Address quality assurance issues and participate in audits or additional reviews as needed.
• Active Practice: Active practice is required.

• Maintain all necessary professional credentials.
