Responsibilities

  • Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform a variety of blast techniques on various types of turbine engine components using a cross mix of equipment (high pressure air, blast tank and other types of equipment)
  • Perform various masking and taping (preparing the part for blasting) and performing actual part blasting operations using materials such as aluminum oxide, plastic grit and wet blast
  • Set-up and operate blast machines and associated equipment to work instructions and manufacturer specifications
  • Secure supplies, tooling, and blast product prior to commencing operation
  • Perform routine inspections of blast equipment
  • Clean, adjust and maintain equipment using hand tools
  • Utilize daily, overhead crane and lifting equipment
  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Read and interpret work instructions in various formats
  • Communicate all work-related problems and issues with supervisors or other departments in a timely and efficient manner
