  • Entry-level position requiring development of Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) in a supervised environment
  • Ability to work under close supervision with detailed instruction until completion of task-specific training and demonstration of competency
  • Must obtain and maintain water treatment equipment qualification by completing Annual Water Training
  • Must maintain current required certifications
  • Ability to perform timely routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities consistent with completed training and qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of dialysis equipment, water treatment systems, and physical plant, including maintaining aesthetics
  • Coordinates and completes scheduled and unscheduled routine repair and maintenance of physical plant with company-approved vendors
  • Participates in preventive maintenance of ancillary devices per manufacturer’s recommendations, company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Purchases and maintains inventory of service parts using approved sources; ensures RGA and warranty parts are returned timely
  • Performs water/dialysate sample collection, processing, evaluation, and reporting per policies and procedures
  • Documents all daily, weekly, monthly repair and maintenance activities/repairs per applicable policies/procedures
  • Updates project tracking or company tracking/documentation systems as assigned
  • Participates in monthly Technical CQI/QAI process, including analysis, data assembly, technical discussions, reporting outcomes, and implementing approved improvement plans
  • Collaborates with facility staff to ensure regulatory and OSHA requirements are met
  • Reviews water system documentation to verify compliance and performs daily, weekly, monthly trend analysis, anticipating actions to ensure proper function
  • Identifies and escalates instances where company policies/procedures are not met
  • Participates in managing Medical Supply Inventory: manages par values, ensures correct inventory for patient treatments, performs physical counts, and generates reports
  • Supports clinical education by administering return demonstrations during Annual Water Training
  • Monitors and reviews patient care staff’s technique for testing water systems, ensuring compliance with policies and manufacturer specifications
  • Attends and successfully completes all technical training
