Requirements

BE/BTech qualification
5 to 8 years of overall experience (minimum 4-6 years leading Analytics projects for large Retail clients; 1+ years excellent in writing DAX in MS Power BI Desktop)
Skill in Data Management - Microsoft Power BI
Experience developing reports and dashboards with Microsoft Power BI
Working experience in commercial & regulatory reporting
Experience connecting multiple data sources in Power BI to implement working reports
Advanced SQL writing skills with strong understanding of relational and dimensional data models
Extensive knowledge of reporting objects including Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, and Transformations
Experience creating calculated measures and columns with DAX in MS Power BI Desktop
Strong domain knowledge in Retail Industry
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, ability to work in team environment with tight schedules and under pressure
Ability to do POCs to showcase Microsoft Power BI capabilities to customers
Very strong SQL skills in at least one DB technology (Teradata preferred, or Oracle, UDB)
Understanding of ETL process, good database knowledge, ability to write complex SQL queries
Good hands-on experience with Azure Stack – Azure SQL Datawarehouse, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Analysis Services (AAS)
Good knowledge of DAX functions (Aggregation, Filter, Time Intelligence, Date & Time, Logical, Statistical)

Responsibilities

Gather and analyze data
Prepare reports by understanding the right representation technique for a given data set
Create and implement process improvements throughout the reporting process
Liaise with business and technology teams to generate reports
Create dashboards, volume reports, operating summaries, presentations, and graphs
Integrate SSRS to Power BI
Create dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop
Create Calculated Columns, Measures, and Calculated Tables using DAX
Use DAX in data modelling and write complex DAX queries
Perform Scheduled Refreshing using Power BI Gateway
Create Tables and Stored Procedures
