Minimum of 1 year of previous experience as a Barista in cafes
Certified Barista certificate required
Currently residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
Proficient in English
Adequate coffee knowledge and understanding of different coffee mixtures
Ability to differentiate coffee aromas and tastes
Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines
Strong communication and leadership skills
Understanding of useful computer programs and ability to learn new ones
Pleasant personality and able to lead with empathy
Strong communicator
Ability to communicate effectively, particularly in written form

Responsibilities

Adhere to coffee recipes when preparing beverages
Maintain brewing equipment functionality and report any issues
Be attentive to customers’ orders and preferences
Maintain a positive and professional approach with customers while representing Calo’s culture and values
Ensure the cafe operates in a timely manner, meeting quality standards
Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and take control of problematic situations
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
