Requirements

Candidates must have 5 or more years of experience in the Higher Education Industry and 5 or more years working with Ellucian Banner, demonstrating advanced user proficiency. Expertise in using Banner to improve and automate business processes within a Financial Aid office, solid understanding of FAFSA with the ability to implement changes in Banner, and experience developing reports using Banner are required. Candidates should also have consulting experience focused on enhancing business processes and creating efficiency, the ability to troubleshoot technical and functional issues within Banner, exceptional oral and written communication skills, a proven customer service approach, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Experience managing project-based work and reading/writing SQL queries are preferred.

Responsibilities

The Banner Financial Aid Consultant will provide implementation support, including training, functional consulting, and technical assistance at client sites. Responsibilities include analyzing current business processes and recommending technological tools for improvement, assisting clients with the Financial Aid year roll within Banner, and ensuring client compliance with Department of Education requirements.
