Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable backend and data systems that power family-first experiences across devices and markets
Gain deep expertise in Spotify’s Gen Alpha ecosystem and understand how safety, privacy, and policy guardrails translate into backend capabilities at scale
Develop modular platform capabilities with strong observability, promoting reuse, reliability, and ease of maintenance across the Gen Alpha surface area
Partner closely with mobile engineers, web engineers, product managers, design, and other stakeholders to design systems that are robust, auditable, and easy to operate
Champion engineering best practices, sound architecture, and operational excellence with meaningful tests, SLIs and SLOs
Foster a collaborative culture built on shared ownership, constructive feedback, and continuous improvement
Develop new and evolve existing features for younger listeners and the people who manage their experience
Run services that uphold safety, privacy, and policy guardrails at Spotify scale
Design clear interfaces, dependable data flows, and resilient systems that integrate deeply with the broader platform
