Expertise in core backend technologies, including relevant languages like Go or Rust, is required, alongside familiarity with databases and cloud platforms. A strong understanding of web3 technologies, protocols, and best practices, combined with a willingness to continuously learn, is also essential. Significant open-source contributions demonstrating a commitment to quality software and impactful work are encouraged. Mastery in designing resilient systems and APIs from scratch, emphasizing robust architecture and scalability, is a key qualification.
The Backend Engineer will be responsible for architecting, developing, and executing on Bastion’s technology roadmap, transitioning prototypes to scalable production services. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions, integrate with web3 technologies, and deliver technology solutions that meet customer expectations. Furthermore, they will continuously stay updated on the latest trends, establish a scalable tech architecture, and support the company’s growth and success by ensuring the infrastructure remains reliable, secure, and performant.
