Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in Automation Test Engineering, with proven experience using Playwright or Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript for UI and API testing. Basic experience with API testing and automation for web services, a strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, and hands-on experience with test management tools like Jira and Confluence are required. Proficiency with Git and CI/CD processes, along with strong analytical and communication skills in English, is also necessary. Nice-to-have qualifications include skills in performance and accessibility testing, experience with containerization and cloud platforms, and proficiency in BDD frameworks.
The Automation Test Engineer will create detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure broad test coverage and mitigate risks. They will adhere to automation best practices to enhance the reliability of the testing process and work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Responsibilities also include designing, refining, and maintaining UI and API automated test scripts with Playwright or Cypress in JavaScript, and integrating automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline. The engineer will also generate and communicate automated test metrics to leadership.
