Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the electrical repair of machine tools and related equipment, including Okuma, G&L, Mazak, Lamb, Landis (grinders), Waldrich Coburg, Ingersoll, Toyoda, and others
  • Experience with P&H cranes and hoists, conveyors, furnaces, washers, ABB robots
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing relay logic machines and CNC/PLC controlled machines, including Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon, Indramat, and other controllers
  • Experience with AC/DC analog and digital drives, including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon, Indramat, and others
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in reading and interpreting machine tool prints/schematics
  • Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate basic tools
  • Self-starter, self-motivated, team-oriented with positive attitude, good work ethic, and personal initiative
  • Willingness to work overtime, 2nd & 3rd shifts
  • Ability to pass color blindness test, work at heights, and in confined spaces

Responsibilities

  • Electrically troubleshoot and repair complex domestic and foreign machine tools and related equipment
  • Repair CNC, PLC, and relay logic-controlled machines
  • Repair equipment such as Okuma, G&L, Mazak, Lamb, Landis grinders, Waldrich Coburg, Ingersoll, Toyoda, DMG Mori, and other machines in a large industrial machine shop
  • Repair related equipment including P&H cranes and hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, CNC machine tools
  • Repair machine controllers including CNC and PLC with Fanuc, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon, Indramat, and others
  • Repair AC/DC analog and digital drives including Siemens, Allen Bradley, Modicon, Indramat, and others
  • Work with measurement and feedback systems including Heidenhain, inductosyn, and other feedback devices
  • Use basic mechanical skills and operate basic tools to complete jobs
