Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
  • Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in Michigan
  • Experience with small animal and/or exotic animal medicine preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive veterinary care to small animal and exotic patients
  • Perform physical examinations, diagnose illnesses and injuries, and develop treatment plans
  • Perform surgical procedures and provide post-operative care
  • Utilize hospital equipment, including digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, laser therapy, pulse (cloud-based software), in-house labs, and ultrasound
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Participate in hospital team meetings and contribute to a positive work environment
