Requirements

Candidates should possess an MD or DO degree and have at least 5 years of experience in primary care leadership, with a preference for experience as a Medical Director or equivalent role. Strong clinical knowledge and experience in primary care are required, along with demonstrated leadership and management skills. Familiarity with healthcare operations and quality improvement initiatives is also desired.

Responsibilities

The Associate Medical Director will provide oversight for clinical care, professional development, and practice administration within Included Health. They will coach and mentor clinicians, manage individual performance, conduct regular meetings, and drive practice management efforts to support clinician excellence and quality of care. The role involves facilitating communication between clinical and organizational leadership teams, serving as the “voice of the practice,” organizing practice huddles, contributing to QA/QI Committee work, dedicating time to clinical care, supervising Nurse Practitioners, and assisting with the Peer Review process. The AMD will also participate in and champion clinical initiatives and business development activities, traveling as needed.
