Requirements

Advanced expertise in statistical methods applied to observational database studies
Strong knowledge of Biostatistics, Real World Evidence (RWE) studies methodology, and regulatory requirements
Proven leadership and management experience in biostatistics teams
Ability to serve as a biostatistical consultant and provide technical expertise
Experience interfacing with clients, internal departments, and regulatory agencies
Familiarity with proposal development, budgeting, and strategic planning

Responsibilities

Manage a team of Biostatistics staff, including planning, assigning, directing work, performance appraisals, professional development, and HR matters
Provide direction, guidance, and oversight on project assignments, documentation, and output development/review
Interface with clients, internal departments, and represent clients at regulatory meetings or Data and Safety Monitoring Committees
Apply advanced statistical methods and ensure scientific integrity in project work
Assist Director in strategic planning, resource allocation, proposal development, project allocation, budget projections, and client presentations
Ensure high quality, timeliness of deliverables, and expert review processes
Serve as a biostatistical consultant to department members and other staff
Maintain knowledge of developments in Biostatistics, RWE, and regulations
Participate in independent research, teaching, presentations, and manuscript preparation
Act as high-level lead biostatistician on major projects, including protocols, analysis plans, reports, and eSubmissions
Provide advanced technical expertise to internal and external clients
Guide staff toward financial success at study level, control costs, maximize revenue recognition, and support estimate at completion reporting
Partner with management to define, implement, and own strategy/initiatives, including training, compliance, and process improvements
Act as client/service group owner, managing portfolio presence and strategies
Identify risks to project delivery/quality and support mitigation to avoid escalations
