Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operations and management of all water, wastewater, and reclaimed water facilities
  • Day-to-day operations and management of SCADA system and remote communications network
  • Implementation and management of innovative predictive maintenance program
  • Administration and implementation of routine and capital repair/replacement projects
  • Emergency response for process upsets, equipment failures, force majeure events, and all alarm events
  • Provision of required operations and compliance reporting to regulatory agencies and municipality
  • Management and oversight of large Capital Improvement Plan
  • Collaboration with engineers on future planning and ongoing construction administration
  • Attending council meetings and presenting project update presentations
  • Providing client relations
  • Promoting and developing staff members
  • Working with Health and Safety Team on safety issues, including safety plan development/implementation, incident reporting, and investigations
  • Reviewing development plans and attending pre-construction meetings
  • Assisting in preparing and managing project budget
  • Overseeing staff of 19+ in daily operations, maintenance, collections, distribution, and customer service
  • Coordinating ongoing daily operation of the utility system
  • Maintaining close client communications and coordination with staff, client representatives, contractors, and engineering firms
  • Performing hands-on work and producing required reports
