Experience in art production design or similar role in media/publishing
Proficiency with layout and design software (e.g., K4, Dalim or equivalent systems)
Strong collaboration skills with creative, editorial, production, and sales teams
Ability to manage deadlines, budgets, and page allocations
Knowledge of print production workflows, including pre-press checks (e.g., DBL, blue lines, sherpas)
Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) and archiving processes
Located in or willing to work in Paris
Responsibilities
Collaborate with creative director, art team, and editorial team to support and execute design and strategy
Work with production directors, editorial operations director, and local editors to ensure content deadlines are met
Manage local issue composition, allocated page budgets, and layout of editorial maps/flat plans (including FOB contiguity needs) with editorial leads and print sales counterparts
Liaise with production and manufacturing teams
Process articles in workflow with content creators
Prepare layouts for networked content and perform production tasks (text flows and styles, joining K4 articles, resolving fit issues with editors, distributing PDFs); note: layouts must be reviewed/approved by art director or designated designer
Assist in creating layouts and designs
Pre-flight layouts and export high-resolution print-ready PDFs via Dalim or equivalent ("shipping pages")
Perform quality checks and approve DBL (digital blue lines, blueprints, sherpas, or equivalent proofs) for press
Handle post-edition tasks: collect final layouts/images and send to Archive/DAM; create and distribute final PDFs (including marked copies if applicable)
Participate in coordinating orders for original creative works (illustrations, infographics, icons, animations) as needed
