The Area Sales Manager is required to have a Bachelor's degree and possess at least 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the fintech or digital payments industry. Strong leadership and team management skills are essential, along with a proven track record of driving merchant acquisition and growth.
The Area Sales Manager will manage a team of 8-10 Business Development Executives/Rural Team Leads, responsible for accelerating PhonePe’s presence in the offline space by driving merchant acquisition and servicing within an assigned geographical area. They will also focus on growing the merchant network, conducting audits and reviews, monitoring competition, ensuring payout closure, and managing escalations to drive quality in execution and achieve a positive return on investment.
