Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 2+ years of experience in API development, specializing in designing and building RESTful services. Proficiency in programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Ruby, or Java is required, alongside a strong understanding of API design principles and best practices, including security and versioning. Familiarity with database systems, both relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB), is also necessary, as is the ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate effectively with various teams.
The API Web Developer will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance RESTful APIs to meet internal and external client needs, collaborating with front-end developers and stakeholders to integrate these APIs. They will ensure the security, performance, and reliability of APIs through testing and documentation, monitor and optimize API performance, participate in the architecture process, troubleshoot and resolve API issues, and stay current with new technologies and industry trends to maintain cutting-edge APIs that drive business value.
