Digital Intern - ANTIQUES ROADSHOW

Employment Type: Part-time Internship Salary: $17/hour (16-20 hours per week) Location Type: Hybrid

Position Overview

GBH embraces a hybrid work model, requiring staff to be onsite a minimum of two days each week (Tuesdays and one other day determined by the business unit), with the flexibility to work additional days.

The Digital Intern at ANTIQUES ROADSHOW will provide crucial support to the digital team by building website assets within the Content Management System (CMS) framework, Wagtail. This role also involves assisting in the creation of video asset files for PBS video platforms by organizing and handling video files, caption files, photo files, and metadata.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the ROADSHOW Digital Producer to build appraisal assets in the show’s website CMS (Wagtail), managing metadata, photo files, and video assets.
  • Work with the ROADSHOW Digital Associate Producer/Editor to establish a workflow for adding assets in the site CMS, aligning with the editing schedule to ensure asset completion and accuracy before episode air dates.
  • Ensure consistency between asset data entered in the site CMS and asset data maintained in Filemaker.
  • Assist the digital team in building video assets in Media Manager, including uploading video, caption, and photo files.
  • Support the digital team in maintaining third-party materials in PIM for broadcast episodes.
  • Provide basic photo and video editing assistance as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining digital team administrative files and the series Filemaker database, as required.

Skill Set

  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively, both independently and with a team, in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • General aptitude with computers
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop and video editing platforms
  • Media production experience is highly beneficial but not required; a strong interest in media production is essential.
  • Familiarity with Filemaker Pro is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Slack is a plus.

  • Internship Dates: September 15th to December 5th
  • Requirements:
    • Candidates must possess their own computer and reliable Wi-Fi access.
    • Candidates must be enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate program.
    • Candidates must have work authorization for the United States.
