Requirements
- Educational/professional experience with a heavy quantitative, analytical focus
- Skilled in data analysis, data engineering and business intelligence
- Advanced understanding of SQL, efficiently & effectively applies best coding practices and demonstrates ability to upskill/assist others
- Advanced understanding of Python/R, efficiently & effectively apply best coding principles and demonstrates ability to upskill/assist others
- Advanced understanding of Apache Airflow/Argo, DBT and APIs; demonstrates proficiency in building data pipelines and assisting in upskilling/assisting others
- Skilled understanding of version control; efficiently create pull requests, collaborate, debug/track issues, document and host code
- Independently develop complex data models
- Experience with a reporting tool, such as Tableau
- Manages multiple projects, resolves challenges swiftly, delivers adaptable approaches, and values diverse opinions
- Takes ownership, anticipates new problems, tests solutions, and mentors on effective problem-solving techniques
- Sets quarterly goals aligned with team objectives, tracks progress in Workday, and communicates barriers to the manager. Takes personal responsibility for quality and timeliness of work, correcting mistakes and learning from them
- Demonstrates expert understanding, introduces new tools/methodologies, and provides team training to enhance productivity
- Tailors messages for audience understanding, engages respectfully in team meetings, synthesises thoughts effectively, presents confidently, and actively listens to stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Cleanse and verify data integrity, enhancing data sources when required
- Exhibit best coding practices, adeptness in pipeline builds, and proficiency in transformation tools
- Analyse data to deliver data-driven insights using proven data mining techniques
- Visualise data insights, communicate findings, and engage in data engineering tasks to optimise data pipelines and enhance analytical capabilities
- Effectively leverage knowledge, expertise and experience to lead and deliver projects
- Effectively support and mentor analysts
- Collaborate with other analysts and stakeholders to execute projects
- Leverage business knowledge to enhance business performance
- Help guide business when making technical decisions
- Perform research and constantly stays on top of the industry’s trends
- Engage and proactively seek opportunities for improvement through ongoing learning
