Requirements

Candidates should possess experience in machine learning or alignment research, demonstrating a strong interest in AI alignment and a positive outlook on humanity’s ability to navigate the advancements of AI. They should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, possess proven data science experience, including primary or equal contributions to multiple projects and stakeholder management, and have experience working with or building deep learning-based computer vision or NLP models or LLMs. Furthermore, candidates should have extensive experience with Python, calling AI models’ APIs via REST or client libraries, and demonstrate a growth mindset with an eagerness to learn and solve challenging problems.

Responsibilities

As an Alignment Data Scientist at AE Studio, you will have the opportunity to contribute to important alignment research between client projects, potentially prioritizing promising research projects. You will also work on internal skunkworks projects, communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience, and demonstrate the ability to work independently and autonomously, breaking down complex problems into manageable chunks for execution.
