Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required pursuant to government contract
  • MS Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
  • Strong background and research experience in AI/ML, specifically Generative AI and computer vision, as well as software engineering
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML and data analytics frameworks and libraries, such as Azure OpenAI, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML development lifecycle, such as dataset preparation, training, fine-tuning, testing, and optimization of AI/ML models
  • Strong publication record in reputed conferences, such as ICSE, CVPR, ICCV, and ECCV
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Eligibility to access classified information at the Confidential U.S. Security Clearance level

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis in software systems, system engineering, AI, and ML to identify emerging trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Understand existing software development processes and tools in the enterprise for Level 2+ systems and identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML technologies
  • Utilize recent advancements in Generative AI, such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Multi-modal Models, and Agentic AI framework, to develop impactful applications for the enterprise
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, develop research plans, execute projects, and facilitate technology transfer
  • Contribute to GM R&D through the generation of new intellectual property and internal/external publications
  • Facilitate technology transfer by actively participating in inter-organizational teams
  • Collaborate with external partners, universities, and research institutions to foster innovation and drive collaborative research initiatives
  • Design and develop AI/ML-based proof-of-concept solutions throughout the software systems engineering lifecycle
