Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong background in computational physics (electromagnetics preferred)
  • Experience implementing algorithms on HPC platforms (GPU experience is a plus)
  • Familiarity with computational electromagnetic methods (e.g., RCWA, FDTD, FEM)
  • Knowledge of machine learning for physics-based problems (e.g., Fourier Neural Operator, Physics-Informed Neural Networks) is a plus
  • Knowledge of machine learning for image processing or image denoising is a plus
  • Proficiency in Python, Triton or CUDA
  • Excellent data visualization and communication abilities

Responsibilities

  • Innovate next-generation electromagnetic solvers and implement them on high-performance computing (HPC) platforms
  • Explore machine learning techniques to accelerate electromagnetic solvers
  • Investigate and characterize next-generation solutions against current best-known methods
  • Collect data using KLA tools and software
  • Analyze and summarize results
  • Help automate analysis workflows
