Requirements

Candidates should possess significant previous experience of developing embedded software using Ada, and C/C++; experience in model-based development using UML or tools like IBM’s Rhapsody; a ‘can do’ and flexible approach to problem-solving, extending beyond software; a focus on code quality and the ability to participate in code and design reviews; and the ability to develop maintainable and extensible code.

Responsibilities

As an ADA Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing software to company processes and agreed timescales, acting proactively and reporting into a Software Design Authority/Software Project Lead; the software will be developed in ADA, working within a small team throughout the Software Development Lifecycle on the requirements, architecture, detailed design, implementation, testing, and delivery of missile subsystem software; interfacing with multiple stakeholders across systems design, electronics design, safety, security, and quality; and contributing to the development of current and future missile control systems.
