Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field
12+ years of experience in technical accounting policy within financial services and/or public accounting (in professional practice or accounting advisory)
Deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS, and a comprehensive understanding of financial statements and legal entity reporting (knowledge of GAAPs in additional jurisdictions, such as the UK, is a plus)
Experience in researching and interpreting complex accounting literature, with a strong background in drafting policy documents and preparing technical accounting analyses
Prior work in the finance industry and an understanding of the regulatory environment is preferred
Organised and a clear communicator; able to build strong collaborative relationships across teams
Excellent time management skills; comfortable handling competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Analytical and detail-oriented, with a positive approach to problem solving
Self-motivated to improve processes where possible
Relevant accounting qualifications required
Fluency in English required
Discreet, trustworthy, and comfortable working to deadlines
Accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

Support local and global accounting operations
Work closely with colleagues across global offices to analyse the implementation of accounting standards where the firm operates
Drive the ongoing development and enhancement of global accounting policies
Apply US GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable standards, taking into account the business environment, market practices, and the nature of operations
Collaborate with outside auditors and advisors on accounting policy matters
