Requirements

Must have Diesel Mechanic experience
Must have a minimum of 6 months of industrial maintenance experience
Must have 90 days since the last term date
Not eligible for hire if terminated 3x or more
Ability to stand on hard surfaces for up to 12 hours per day
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs occasionally and 10 lbs frequently
Ability to work in a noisy environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 90 degrees
Capable of reading and following instructions as well as technical manuals
Knowledge of DOT requirements relating to equipment maintenance
CDL is a plus, but not required
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

Diagnose issues, adjust, repair, and perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment
Comply with Department of Transportation rules and regulations
Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson's policies and procedures
Communicate and interface with management and other personnel
Forklifts: Maintenance and repairs
Semi-Trucks: Servicing and repairs
Pallet Jacks: Ensuring operational efficiency
Hydraulic Motors and Hoses: Maintenance and troubleshooting
Augers: Repairs and maintenance
Tire Repairs: Repairing and mounting new tires
Vehicle Washing: Washing vehicles as needed
Learn skills in welding, hydraulics, power transmissions, and machine tool practices
