Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Hold a valid motor vehicle license
  • Must be available to start May 27th for a minimum of 10-12 weeks

Responsibilities

  • Calibration and repair of Test Equipment such as power system simulators used to maintain relay systems required for regulatory compliance
  • Reviewing Test Equipment inventory and managing repairs with original equipment manufacturers
  • Work with supervision to ensure job aids, engineering documentation, material, and test equipment is available for task execution
  • Shadow Field Engineers and Supervisors in the field conducting relay maintenance, troubleshooting, and construction commissioning activities in the substations
  • Exposure to troubleshooting, maintaining and commissioning protection and control schemes and electrical power apparatus associated with the Bulk Electric System and Distribution System
  • Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs (Emergency Restoration assignment)
