Requirements

  • Proven ability to identify and solve complex engineering problems
  • Programming experience in C/C++ (NI LabWindows), NI LabView, and NI TestStand
  • Strong working knowledge of computers, MS Office applications, and a drawing package such as Visio, Multisim, etc
  • Familiarity with Agile process, requirements traceability management tools, software source control tools
  • Familiarity with automated test equipment (e.g., DMM, ARB, power supply, oscilloscopes, generators, radar target simulators); NI PXI/PXIe experience preferred
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN/CAN-FD, Automotive Ethernet, LVDS)
  • Experience with basic circuit design
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a concentration in Electronics, Electrical Engineering (EE), Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE), or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET)

Responsibilities

  • Lead Validation Engineering activities for Active Safety projects, including test plan development, customer interface, design team participation, new hardware test technologies, writing/maintaining software applications and drivers, test hardware development, test software development, and process documentation
  • Manage the Validation Process activities during the product design cycle from product concept to production launch
  • Manage critical path timing issues to ensure on-time test completion
  • Perform requirements analysis and test plan generation
  • Develop validation test procedures using success-based test methods, extended life test methods, test to failure test methods, and overstress test methods
  • Analyze test data and compare to requirements
  • Develop test hardware and software necessary to validate Active Safety products (e.g., procuring capital assets, developing test methods and fixtures, writing test software, designing analog and digital load boards, designing cables, applying engineering principles)
  • Analyze data, create test summaries, and reports
  • Support new business activities
  • Participate in product development team activities and interface with customers
