Demonstrated enthusiasm for the mission of NYCEDC
Demonstrated written, verbal, and analytical skills
Understanding of database and presentation tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multi-task and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams
Ability to work full-time, Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM and complete the entirety of the 10-week program

Responsibilities

Drafts press materials including press releases, quotes, and media advisories
Drafts briefing memos, talking points, and other prep materials for NYCEDC speakers and members of the President’s Office
Compiles daily news clippings focused on NYCEDC projects and relevant industry news
Meets with teams across NYCEDC for project updates and press planning
Provides input on press planning and media strategies
Provides staffing support at press conferences and speaking engagements
Builds and maintains media lists
Other duties as assigned
