Requirements

• Experience:
  • 6+ years of experience as a Java Software Engineer.
  • 1+ year of experience as a Staff Engineer or equivalent level.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in developing clean, maintainable Java code, incorporating design patterns and architectural considerations.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering processes, structural design, and system optimization.
  • Excellent engineering skills and a solid understanding of Computer Science fundamentals.
  • Experience architecting cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Experience with relational RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL).
• Leadership & Mentorship:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to take initiative and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting other team members.

Responsibilities

• Product Development:
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and UX designers to define new features and enhance existing products.
  • Develop new features with a focus on the end-user experience, including writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Architecture & Design:
  • Lead the definition of application architecture on AWS.
• Team & Project Ownership:
  • Take strong ownership of the team's work and drive sprints to successful completion.
  • Contribute to the definition of the team’s short and long-term goals.
  • Provide mentorship to engineers, fostering their technical growth and removing obstacles.
• Operations:
  • Deploy and monitor new features in production environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to the team's features.
• Methodologies:
  • Work effectively within agile methodologies.
