Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience as a Staff Software Engineer - Backend (Golang)
  • Experience building high availability voice communication experiences on top of open-source real-time communication software and commercial communications platform APIs
  • Expertise in telecom system development, including state-heavy features, complex workflows, and extensive third-party integrations

Responsibilities

  • Partner with product managers, designers, and analysts to understand user needs and build products that serve those needs
  • Work with commercial CPaaS APIs and open-source real-time communication software to manage calls, messages, and security
  • Engineer high availability into systems with many moving parts
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure customers have necessary tools for success
  • Set direction for the team and guide engineering vision
  • Work on highly visible parts of Outreach’s product for customers and the organization
  • Improve the team and company through mentorship, interviewing, and new initiatives
  • Own relationships with other engineering teams
