Flock Safety is seeking a Staff iOS Engineer to support, maintain, and improve our growing iOS app. Our mission is to eliminate crime and keep communities safe through an intelligent technology platform that combines the power of communities, cities, businesses, schools, and law enforcement agencies.

The Skillset
- Multiple years of iOS experience with apps shipped to the App Store.
- Proven experience shipping and maintaining a mobile app over an extended period. Experience with scaling apps to millions of users is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and architecture abilities with a passion for programming.
- A love for technology and insatiable curiosity for new tools.
- Experience with the following technologies:
- Swift
- SwiftUI
- Swift Concurrency
- UIKit
- XCTest
- APNs
- Kotlin or NodeJS is a plus.

90 Days at Flock
We operate on a results-oriented culture with 90-day plans to guide your progress.
The First 30 Days:
- Complete onboarding and have a "first day push of code."
- Understand current processes and procedures.
- Walkthrough of Flock Safety iOS app, backend, and Android app.
- Review Pull Request (PR) practices.
- Begin working on CJIS certification.
- Actively ask questions in public channels and update READMEs to share knowledge.
The First 60 Days:
- Perform role with decreased need for guidance.
- Gain a high-level understanding of current features.
- Write up at least one ticket.
- Understand the software design philosophies in use.
- Become comfortable navigating the codebase.
- Manage a release of the iOS app.
90 Days & Beyond:
- Accelerate ramp-up time when working on new tickets.
