Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience, or 5 years of relevant work experience, or 3 years of work experience with a Bachelor's degree, or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree. A minimum of 2 years of experience with Golang in production environments is required, along with experience in AWS services such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge. A solid understanding of distributed systems and microservices, experience with REST APIs, proficiency with Git and version control workflows, and a strong testing mindset with experience in unit and integration testing are also necessary. Knowledge of SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB) is required. Desirable qualifications include experience in high-scale and high-availability environments, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker/Containers, knowledge of messaging systems and event-driven architectures, understanding of observability practices, background in Agile methodologies, and hands-on experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
The Sr. Software Engineer will develop and maintain applications using Golang, following best practices for clean and maintainable code. They will deploy and operate services in AWS, including resources such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge. Responsibilities include collaborating with product and engineering teams to analyze, refine, and implement technical solutions aligned with business requirements. The engineer will use Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure resources on AWS, and design and implement RESTful APIs and support integration with other microservices. Writing and maintaining unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, monitoring application health and performance using logs and metrics, and contributing to the evolution of a microservices architecture in a distributed system environment are also key duties.
