Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Employment Type: Full-Time Location Type: Remote Salary: $180,000 - $230,000 (This is a base salary range and may vary based on experience and other factors. The total compensation package includes equity, healthcare, and other benefits.)

Position Overview

Machinify is the leading provider of AI-powered software products that transform healthcare claims and payment operations. We are seeking a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a range of skills across web application programming, with a strong interest in developing user-centric and performant UI platforms. You will be a primary contributor to frontend development, including new feature programming and architecting patterns for backend services to optimally serve the product's user interface. You excel at transforming complex requirements into functional, scalable, and responsive interfaces that deliver optimal user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications and contribute towards UI and potentially middle-layer development.
• Own projects aligned with our product development strategy.
• Design and implement solutions to achieve a delightful and intuitive user experience.
• Contribute to the underlying platform to ensure it is extensible, scalable, and secure.
• Collaborate with team members and external stakeholders, including Product Managers, Backend Engineers, the UX team, and customers.

Requirements

• Experience: 6+ years of production application development experience.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in modern JavaScript, React, CSS/HTML.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Excellent debugging skills (using dev tools source code, with an emphasis on identifying root causes and proactively preventing future bugs).
  • Proficiency in integrating web APIs or micro-services to the UI in partnership with backend developers.
  • Experience implementing best practices for incorporating AI into user flows.
• Codebase Understanding: Experience reading and understanding complex enterprise-grade code, quickly contributing to it, and suggesting improvements.
• Development Tools: Familiarity with standard development tools and processes like GitHub Workflows, Git, and JIRA.
• Scalability Experience: Experience creating and building systems in production with over 10,000+ users.
• Problem Solving: Comfortable with ambiguity and taking initiative.
• Education: BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• Motivation: Excitement in making an impact by rewiring US healthcare.
