This role focuses on translating the TPP (Therapeutic Product Plan) into a Clinical Development Plan, ensuring quality, accuracy, and budget adherence. The position involves leading clinical teams, providing strategic medical insight, and overseeing clinical studies. Travel may be required up to 10-20% (international travel possible).

Requirements

  • Education: Medical Doctor or equivalent degree required.
  • Board Certification: Board certification(s) preferred.
  • Specialty Education: Residency/Fellowship required in Rheumatology (or related specialty).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the clinical team for a specific indication, translating the TPP into a Clinical Development Plan.
  • Own the Clinical Development Plan.
  • Participate in long-range strategic planning based on emerging data.
  • Line management of Global Clinical Trial Physicians, providing coaching and setting expectations.
  • Provide real-time oversight of medical aspects of studies, including communication to management and study teams.
  • Safeguard harmonization across studies to ensure consistent external communications (e.g., IRB, RA).
  • Lead indication medical advisory boards as needed.
  • Build and maintain a “best in class” group of development medical doctors.
  • Ensure compliance of all studies in the indication.
