Requirements

  • 9+ years of experience in server hardware development at a SaaS, public cloud, CSP, or similar company
  • Demonstrated experience with hardware validation methodologies/benchmarks and automation frameworks
  • Strong understanding of modern server microarchitectures and components
  • Experience with server BMC implementation and management interfaces (Redfish, IPMI)
  • Proficiency in Linux server environments (PXE, kernel optimization) and scripting languages (Python, Bash)
  • Knowledge of industry standards (PCIe, NVMe, DDR)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Responsibilities

  • Validate new hardware components including server platforms, next-gen storage media, and new technologies (PCIe Gen6, DC-MHS, GPUs, etc)
  • Create and execute validation plans for new server designs, including power/thermal analysis and performance characterization
  • Develop automation frameworks for hardware testing, firmware validation, and component qualification
  • Collaborate with ODM/OEM partners on server designs and integration
  • Write technical specifications and documentation for new platforms
  • Manage hardware testing infrastructure and improve its operations
  • Work with software teams to optimize platform configurations (BIOS, kernel, firmware)
