Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 3 years of experience in full stack engineering roles, demonstrating a deep knowledge of Ruby (Rails or similar frameworks), PostgreSQL—including writing queries, designing schemas, and optimizing performance, and frontend experience using Next.js, React, or a similar component-based JavaScript framework. They should also be comfortable working in a startup environment, wearing multiple hats, working autonomously, and moving quickly, and possess a product mindset, caring about the user rather than just the code.

Responsibilities

The Senior Full-Stack Ruby Engineer will build, ship, and own end-to-end features using Ruby (Rails) on the backend and Next.js (React) on the frontend, designing and implementing APIs, data models, background jobs, and UIs with extreme performance and usability in mind. They will collaborate with product managers and designers to shape the product roadmap and deliver high-quality user experiences, write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code across the stack, participate in code reviews, technical planning, and continuous improvement of the architecture and processes, and support production systems—debugging issues, improving observability, and contributing to a culture of ownership and accountability.
