Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 9+ years of experience with day-to-day L3 support for NetApp, EMC, IBM or Hitachi SAN/NAS environments
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish required
  • Ability to design and implement storage solutions as well as configure additions and modifications to the filers as requested by product groups
  • Experience developing DR Strategies from a storage/replication perspective
  • Experience with fiber channel switches across various platforms
  • Experience with VMware Infrastructure - Experience with large dynamic server environments
  • Experience in supporting Linux and Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Experience presenting to Sr. Management and creating monthly operations reports for storage technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and in an international team environment (nice to have: Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education; Experience in Microsoft Office products)

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and configuration of primary and secondary storage in preparation for Data Center migrations
  • Configuration and Performance tuning of all storage, SAN and NAS environments
  • Respond to, diagnose and re-mediate issues in a dynamic environment
  • Generate performance and data usage reports, manage and maintain storage growth, capacity planning
  • Ability to work on project teams, delivering on key project milestones, and communicating effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Engineer to assist with the research and design of primary storage / Disaster Recovery related projects
