Requirements

  • Demonstrable mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge - Level I/II
  • Understanding of general workplace safety and ability to follow/improve safety standards - Level I
  • Ability to work overtime and non-standard hours (nights, holidays, weekends) - Level I
  • Professionalism and excellent communication skills - Level I
  • Ability to operate a computer with technical proficiency in standard business software - Level I
  • Knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations - Level I

  • 1+ years of experience in a power plant or PV Solar O&M/EPC, or 2+ years of field experience with significant I&E, I&C and/or C&I Electrician experience - Level II
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (single craft journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits, and solid state theory - Level II
  • Basic knowledge of operational characteristics of equipment and associated control devices in power facilities - Level II
  • 4+ years of PV solar experience, or equivalent I&E, I&C and/or C&I Electrician experience - Level III
  • Proven experience with a multitude of electrical/construction projects - Level III
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals (Journeyman skills) such as electrical measurements, control circuits - Level III

Responsibilities

  • Assists higher level Technicians in performing maintenance - Level I
  • Performs other technical and administrative duties associated with operating and maintaining a power facility - Level I
  • Ensures work is performed in accordance with Environmental and Safety requirements - Level I/III
  • Participates in required training (On-the-Job Training, Self-Study, Computer Based Training, Classroom Training) - Level I/III
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the level I scope - Level I
  • Performs corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations for which qualified to safely and efficiently perform - Level II/III
  • Performs work independently and/or in work crews - Level II
  • Travels as needed - Level II
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the level II scope - Level II
  • Executes routine electrical troubleshooting and repair, instrumentation calibration and troubleshooting - Level III
  • Performs complex maintenance work such as distributed control systems and inverter troubleshooting as assigned based on skill and ability - Level III
  • Completes work orders for the preventive maintenance management system - Level III
  • Prepares and implements switching and clearance orders, while working with Operations Center - Level III
  • Operates all electrical and mechanical PV Solar power plant systems - Level III
  • Participates in training as required, including JHA, PJB, LOTO documentation - Level III
  • Writes Plant Orders, Plant Procedures, Operating Instructions and other documents as assigned by supervisor - Level III
  • Performs other duties as assigned within the level III scope - Level III
