Requirements

  • Ability to review user stories to ensure acceptance criteria are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable
  • 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer, with at least 3 years in automation
  • Ability to work as an embedded tester in a scrum team
  • Ability to evaluate complexity of user stories and contribute to sprint planning estimates
  • Ability to develop high-quality, maintainable, and performant test code
  • Ability to ensure test execution by cross-functional scrum team members
  • Ability to judge when technical solutions require team discussion and consensus
  • Good understanding of software testing methodologies and scrum ceremonies
  • Good knowledge of exploratory testing techniques (Rapid software testing, Session-based testing, testing heuristics)
  • Ability to triage issues and report progress
  • Ability to plan, execute, and validate tests across full spectrum (functional, non-functional, Infosecurity, integration, regression, smoke, UAT, OAT)
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve QA processes and contribute to test automation
  • Understanding of BDD/TDD methodologies
  • Ability to work in automated test approach with page object design/facade/singletons patterns
  • Knowledge of automated API testing
  • Experience in Acceptance Test Automation with Selenium C#
  • Ability to work in CI tools like GitLab and cloud infrastructure like GCP

Responsibilities

  • Participate in "3 Amigos" (Business, development, testing) to create Acceptance Criteria for user stories
  • Review acceptance criteria and identify test scenarios
  • Provide test estimates during sprint planning
  • Create pragmatic test plans covering all phases of software development
  • Develop automated acceptance tests for features
  • Develop and implement integration, regression, and system tests for new features
  • Create and maintain test data and test environments
  • Log defects and track them to closure
  • Conduct exploratory testing in every sprint
  • Develop automated tests for non-functional testing
  • Collect quality metrics and enhance testing processes for continuous improvement
