Candidates should have 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend systems development, and a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. They should possess expertise in one or more backend programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++, and have hands-on experience in applying machine learning techniques to solve real-world problems, specifically with demonstrable experience in addressing integrity, trust, or safety challenges. A solid understanding of the machine learning lifecycle is also required.
The Software Engineer will be responsible for architecting and building highly scalable, resilient, and performant backend systems that power integrity and safety features, leading complex solutions for detecting and preventing integrity risks, including those related to Generative AI. They will conceptualize, develop, deploy, and iterate on machine learning models and algorithms for content classification, anomaly detection, risk scoring, and behavior analysis, as well as developing safeguards for Generative AI systems. The role also includes cross-functional collaboration with product managers, data scientists, and security teams, driving the technical vision and roadmap for backend integrity systems, providing technical guidance to other engineers, championing best practices, and continuously optimizing system performance and cost-effectiveness.
