Requirements

Candidates must have at least 5 years of mobile development experience with a proven track record of building high-quality mobile applications. A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience developing with Flutter, including deep familiarity with Flutter frameworks, third-party libraries, and APIs, is required. Strong knowledge of mobile native technologies, architectural design patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM), and frameworks, with experience applying TDD methodology and robust unit testing practices is essential. Proficiency with development tools such as Android SDK and GIT version control systems is necessary. Experience with native Android is also required. A BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related experience is preferred, as is experience with MVVM architecture and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will design and develop innovative content experience features for the Headspace mobile application, ensuring meaningful user experiences that align with the company's mission. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create detailed technical specifications and assess the feasibility of new features and products. Responsibilities include writing and maintaining high-quality, performant, and efficient code, ensuring best practices and scalability, and conducting thorough unit testing to ensure robustness, reliability, and exceptional usability. The engineer will also stay ahead of industry trends by evaluating and integrating emerging technologies, leverage expertise in mobile architectures and design patterns to shape the platform's future, champion proper documentation and quality management, and migrate/integrate existing native features and functionality to Flutter.
