Jobber is seeking a highly skilled and technically strong Senior Security Operations Specialist to join our Security team. This remote-first position, based across Canada, will focus on leading and advancing security operations, with a strong emphasis on building security tooling, automations, and integrations to support Jobber’s infrastructure and evolving security needs. Reporting directly to the Manager, Security Operations, this role is pivotal in strengthening operational security capabilities during a critical growth phase.
This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by building scalable systems, supporting foundational projects like Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and reducing operational dependencies on Engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with the broader Security team and across departments to ensure security operations are resilient, proactive, and aligned with Jobber’s expanding technology footprint.
Jobber’s Security team is led by our Senior Director of Security and is structured into specialized teams, including Security Operations, Trust Operations, and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC). As we scale our capabilities, we are evolving into a team of teams, each with clear ownership, deep expertise, and shared accountability for securing Jobber’s platform, people, and processes.
The Security Operations team focuses on alert triage and response, managing our bug bounty program, and developing internal security tooling to support cloud and endpoint visibility. As Jobber’s infrastructure evolves, we are placing greater emphasis on cloud-native automation, security integrations, and enabling secure-by-default practices across Engineering and IT. We work in close partnership with Product Development, IT, and GRC, prioritizing transparency, pragmatism, and continuous learning across all functions.
