Requirements

Candidates must possess a PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, or a related field, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and optimizing production software using CUDA and C++ is required. Strong fundamentals in finite precision arithmetics and numerical methods for linear algebra are essential, along with good knowledge of GPU or CPU hardware architecture. Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Senior Math Libraries Engineer will be responsible for scoping, designing, and implementing high-quality, high-performance numerical dense linear algebra software on GPUs. They will provide technical leadership and feedback to other engineers, mentor interns, and collaborate with product management and customers to understand requirements and define technical roadmaps. The role also involves identifying opportunities to improve library performance and reduce code maintenance through re-architecting.
