Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Senior IT Data Analyst (or closely related occupation) translating complex financial data into actionable business insights in a financial services environment
  • Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and one (1) year of experience as a Senior IT Data Analyst (or closely related occupation) translating complex financial data into actionable business insights in a financial services environment
  • Demonstrated Expertise designing and developing data services across the data lifecycle using Power Designer, Collibra, Snowflake, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Teradata, BigQuery, Python, and Oracle
  • Demonstrated Expertise designing and implementing data modeling to map and consolidate information from multiple enterprise databases -- using Power Designer to generate data models, using Collibra to define data glossary terms and lineage, and using Visio to create dataflow and system diagrams
  • Demonstrated Expertise analyzing and profiling large-scale data sets comprising 100 to 150M data features to detect trends and generate statistics and patterns, using SQL across the data lifecycle; designing, implementing and validating data movement; and performing data consumption using visualization tools (Power BI and Tableau)
  • Demonstrated Expertise identifying matching platforms and their respective referential matching and entity resolution approaches, using Verato and Reltio

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to data ingestion and delivery of high value data products for enterprise analytics initiatives
  • Programs and improves upon Application Programming Interface (API) solutions from conceptualization to deployment, as a member of a cross-functional team using Agile development lifecycle methodologies
  • Delivers high value actionable Business Intelligence (BI) reports using PowerBI and troubleshooting workbook performance issues
  • Implements SQL databases access
  • Provides data storage via Cloud computing and allows data analysis and simultaneous access of data sets, using Snowflake
  • Captures business requirements and translates them into data solutions
  • Works on test strategy and implementation of key technical solutions in quality engineering to enable development teams to release products into production
  • Participates in and contributes to formal reviews of architecture, design, and code
  • Navigates integrated enterprise data and works across multifunctional teams
  • Applies data management and data modeling practices when building data solutions
  • Communicates sophisticated concepts effectively to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical
  • Validates the impact of changes to datasets and data models
