Requirements

Full-stack engineer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Java and TypeScript to implement end-to-end features handling high volume of data
Strong understanding of web and API development principles
Significant experience building, integrating with, and using APIs; proficiency in REST, gRPC, and GraphQL
Care about observability and building robust & reliable systems
Practical experience with engineering best practices, testing automation (unit, integration, end-to-end), and monitoring tools
Own solutions end-to-end, from scoping tickets to deployment and smoke testing in production
Experience working directly with stakeholders and Product leadership
Comfortable working in an agile environment and challenging self/team to improve ways of working
Based in Australia (Sydney or Melbourne region); flexibility for distributed work with some in-person meetings and collaboration in Australian Eastern Standard time, including with US teams (PST/EST)
Nice to have: experience with experimentation platforms, A/B testing, proficiency in SQL; care about software architecture across front-end, back-end, and APIs

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and ship features using Java, TypeScript, and other technologies for the Spotify Ads Manager
Partner with product managers and business stakeholders to build and scale services powering the platform
Collaborate with teams and disciplines across the world to deliver high-quality, high-impact customer-facing products and features
Perform code reviews, create documentation, and take on complex bug fixes across services and multiple levels of the stack
Improve operational excellence and share knowledge across the company to promote best practices
Uplift and mentor those around you, especially more junior team members
Work in an environment supporting individual growth
