Requirements

  • Relevant industry experience in a consulting environment with 5-10 years’ experience
  • Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with clients and other engineers
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy client focused team
  • Strong practical understanding, proactive high-level thinking and high attention to detail
  • Experience applying to a diverse range of structural engineering projects, with key focus on built form sector
  • Local Brisbane and QLD project experience highly regarded
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent (essential)
  • CPEng or equivalent chartered status (preferred but not essential)

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of design in structural engineering
  • Involvement in projects from technical design and documentation through to completion on site
  • Preparation of design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff and oversee the design development and documentation
  • Undertake site inspections, particularly in operating Department of Defence facilities
  • Practice safety in project design and delivery, supported by quality checking and verification activities
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
