Requirements
- Relevant industry experience in a consulting environment with 5-10 years’ experience
- Strong communication and liaison abilities to engage with clients and other engineers
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently within a busy client focused team
- Strong practical understanding, proactive high-level thinking and high attention to detail
- Must be eligible for Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Baseline Clearance
- Experience in a diverse range of structural engineering projects, with key focus on built form and defence sectors
- Local Darwin and Northern Territory project experience highly regarded
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent
- CPEng or equivalent chartered status preferred
Responsibilities
- All aspects of design in structural engineering
- Involvement in projects from technical design and documentation through to completion on site
- Preparation of design sketches and details for drafting by technical staff
- Oversee the design development and documentation
- Undertake site inspections, particularly in operating Department of Defence facilities
- Practice safety in project design and delivery, supported by quality checking and verification activities
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
