Requirements

  • Degree / master's in computer science/ Embedded Systems / Computer Engineering / Electrical Electronic Engineering with concentration in Embedded Software engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing Real-time Embedded Systems
  • Good background in communication protocol firmware development and real-time control systems
  • Knowledge in programming language: C, C++
  • Certification in CERT Secure Coding in C and C++
  • Knowledge in Industrial Automation, PLC Programming
  • Experience programming 32 bits Microcontroller (ARM or ColdFire) and developing low-level device driver
  • Development experience in: ThreadX OS, Industrial Communication Protocol (PCCC, DF1, Modbus, DNP3, CIP, or EtherNet/IP), Automated unit test methodology & tool (VectorCast)

Responsibilities

  • Design, troubleshoot software programmer for software enhancements and new products
  • Develop software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools
  • Determine hardware compatibility or influence hardware design
  • Design embedded software subsystems that increase and balance a variety of goals across the run-time performance, memory requirements, simplicity and correctness, development time and effort goals, reusability, extendibility, reliability, and safety
  • Maximise the reuse of existing internal or external software components to shorten the product development cycle
